A documentary exploring two individuals united by a passion for language and resilience. David Nancekivell, former McGill professor fluent in approximately 50 languages, continues inspiring despite cancer and strokes. Christine Brault, a French professor, artist, and activist, transforms her cancer battle into vibrant artistic creation.
Director Allen Forouhar developed a meaningful relationship with both subjects, who guided his language learning. The film examines universal themes of faith, creativity, and perseverance through poetic narration and striking visuals, celebrating “the power of language to transcend the most difficult trials.”
